Surrounded by total tranquillity in the wooded mountains of Cortona stands our 400 year-old stone farmhouse which has recently been renovated with great attention. Now it offers every modern comfort without having lost any of its original charm. All rooms have a bathroom, traditional furniture, telephone, sat-tv and some of them a fireplace. In our dinningroom we offer you typical Tuscan meals cooked on a woodfire using for the most part our own biological products. The marvellous view from the pool (16m x 8m) which takes in the Appenine mountains and the river valley, will give you an idea of the infinite possibilities there ara for excursions in both Tuscany and Umbria.

Given the size of our pool, it can be used for relaxed swimming or for serious training for the more sportive.

Walking and hiking
The area in which our farm is situated is both historically interesting and very beautiful. We have detailed maps available on request. All of the surrounding area is ideal for hiking or bike-riding. A very popular walk is the one along the old Roman road where, in certain spots, the ancient paving stones of the carriageway and the wells for watering the horses and mules can still be seen today. Its position, high on top of the Cortona mountains, offers a wonderful view over Tuscany and Umbria.

Bike riding
Our farm is situated at an altitude of about 760m and its location offers many possibilities for cyclists, including demanding routes for mountain bike enthusiasts. Maps of the area are available for cyclists too.

Horse riding
Nowadays many people enjoy riding. To cater for this love of horses there are various riding stables in the area offering both English and Western riding. We are very happy to assist with the choice of stable and bookings.

Tennis
Cortona (18 km) has a tennis club situated in a panoramic position with clay courts, indoor courts and changing rooms. Again, we will help with bookings.

Sailing
At Lake Trasimeno, various owners and clubs rent sailboats and other pleasure craft. They also organize regattas for all kinds of boats. Groups of kayak and rowing boat enthusiasts use the River Tiber and also organize various boating events.

Language courses
There is a language school in Camucia offering lessons in both English and Italian. Courses for groups or individual students are available on request. For further information, consult the site
